Join us on the Festival grounds before and after performances for a variety of fun and interactive activities. Roving entertainers, hands-on explorations and arts activities will let you unleash your creative side!  Below please find an example of on-site activities we've offered in the past. 


Weekdays: 9:30am - 2:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10am - 4pm
The schedule varies depending on the activity.

Rock Climbing - Altitude Gym

Come experience the thrill of rock climbing ! Altitude gym uses renowned walltopia climbing wall surface. Burn some energy while having fun!


"Zone Active" CEPEO

A series of recreational, educational and cultural activities animated by educational professionals. Kids will move, laugh, learn and have fun in French!


Parc Omega

Parc Omega lets you discover wildlife in person! Visit their booth for multiple presentations daily. Learn more about birds of prey and mammals.


Long and McQuade Instrument Petting Zoo

Instead of goats and rabbits, the Long and McQuade Instrument Petting Zoo includes horns, trumpets, drums and guitars. With professional supervision aspiring musicians can play, play, play!


100 Watt Earth Stage presented by KUMON

An island of creative wonder where children & youth can be both audience & artist. Young artists of age 20 & under offer their skills & talents to audiences of all ages: theatre, music, poetry, visual arts & dance. Also! take part in workshops in theatre, dance, circus arts & shadow theatre for children & teens. Come perform, come watch, come wonder. View schedule.


Salsa Kids

Featuring original songs by renowned Latin artist Ricky Franco, kids experiment with tempo and rhythm, learn the basic steps to popular Latin dances and have fun using their imagination. Knowledge of different cultures and genres of music is explored and an introduction to Spanish vocabulary is encouraged through song, dance and celebration!


Mobile Archery Booth

Check out the inflatable Mobile Archery Range with hovering targets. Fun the whole family!


Tread On It!

Jeff Mann brings TREAD ON IT! Create your own t-shirt design using car parts rescued from the junkyard and unwanted house paint. Remember to bring your own t-shirt!


The Dinosaur Project

Meet Russell T. Wrecks, Ottawa's favourite Tyrannosaurus! Russell is a glimpse of theatrical work created by Adam Zimmerman Productions Inc. Jurassic puppetry, living Dinosaurs in motion. See if you can spot him and his handler at the park throughout the Festival! Grab a selfie, but beware, he may bite!


Kromatik - Face Painting

The artists of Kromatik invite you into their unique universe for a thrill ride of high-speed face painting. The quality and the originality of their ideas will amaze you. Participate in this colourful performance and transform yourself into a work of art for a day!

Lansdowne Park Adventures

Art, science and play! Build and invent in this loose parts playground. Explore and discover with Maker activities. Adventures from engineering and electricity to colour and chemistry are happening here.


Mad Hatter Tea Party

Welcome to The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! Orbital Talent presents Adam Zimmerman Productions, with an eccentric troupe of performing artists. They combine puppetry, expressive characters and adventurous comedy! Join them for tea time? No...? "Off with your head!


Ottawa School of Art

Friday to Sunday only
With the help of professional artists, we will create artworks using a variety of mediums including silkscreen and easy printmaking techniques. Come and learn about the wide range of courses offered by OSA for all ages of art enthusiasts. Art materials provided but bring your own white t-shirt if you would like to take home a self-made silkscreen shirt!
