The Ottawa Children’s Festival de la jeunesse has presented work to tens of thousands of young people, their educators, and their families and is recognized as one of the most highly regarded events both across Canada and internationally. The Festival has never wavered from its commitment to celebrating exceptional artists from around the world who work in theatre, music, dance, visual, media, and circus arts for young people.  Our programming choices all consider the artistic, emotional, intellectual and social development levels of different children- the Festival is completely accessible and inclusive.

There are many children who would like the chance to experience live theatre, and few will have had the chance to take in international performances of this caliber.  This can become possible under the Adopt-A-School Program. Research shows that exposure to, and participation in, the arts contributes positively to child development, engagement and learning.

The sponsors of the Adopt-A School program allow low social economic school groups to attend the Festival free of charge. Contact the Group Booking Coordinator at groups@ottawachildrensfestival.ca to learn how to apply for the Adopt-A-School program to bring your class for free.
